It takes hundreds of volunteers offering up thousands of hours to make the Portage Health Great Bear Chase Ski Marathon the successful event it always is.
The search for this year’s volunteers is now on. We’re looking for volunteers to help with timing, registration, banquet, aid stations, parking assistants and helping out with the stadium.
“The people that come back every year and volunteer are what makes this event great,” said Angela Luskin, race and volunteer director. “If you think you can help out this year, please get ahold of me as soon as you can.”
Volunteers are needed the week of the event to help set everything up, Friday night at the various events, throughout the day Saturday and event Sunday to help tear down and help with the Snow Bike Race.
“This is also a great opportunity for organizations and businesses to come together as a group and do something for the community,” Luskin said.
