Great Bear Chase unveils new branding with logo and website

CALUMET – It’s a new season for the Portage Health Great Bear Chase Ski Marathon, and it’s a fresh new look for the logo and website as the 33-year-old race has been completely rebranded thanks to SmartCreative, a Houghton-based marketing agency.

The Great Bear Chase’s new logo showcases a refreshing color scheme of powder blue, navy blue and a crisp white, while showcasing a Snow Moon and panoramic view of pine trees, which line the race’s course along the Swedetown Trails.

“The Great Bear Chase brand plays an important role in attracting and retaining racers,” said Scott Niska, owner of SmartCreative. “The new branding is memorable and it also lends a true ‘up north’ experience for everyone involved.”

Along with the new logo comes a new website that creates an entire new experience for Great Bear Chase participants. The site is easier to navigate, more clearly defined and is home to some of the latest and greatest features in web design.

“It’s been a pleasure working with the Great Bear Chase committee. They recognize that a robust online presence that the committee can manage plays an important role alongside their tried-and-true marketing plan,” said Niska.
